Gemini Planet Imager

I am currently working on the Gemini Planet Imager with James Larkin & Michael P. Fitzgerald The IFS is the main science instrument for GPI which allows the creation of a image of the focal plan with coarse spectral resolution, generating a coarse data cube. The goal of GPI is to detect exoplanets in the outer regions (a > 5 AU) of the planetary systems of main sequence stars in the solar neighborhood. It will do this by observing the self luminocity of young systems.
