It was an interest in traveling between the stars and visiting new and wonderous planets which first piqued my interest in astronomy. While we are far away from becoming interstellar travelers, we are standing at the threshold of a new era - an era where we are learning that those new worlds exist. Its a beginning - for you have to start somewhere - and I want to be a part of it.

But as fate would have it, my graduate studies have focused on a mysterious place located at the center of our Galaxy so I must take it upon myself to become familiar with research involving the detection of extrasolar planets and understanding how such planetary systems formed.
