Welcome! I am a graduate student in Astrophysics at UCLA working with Professor Andrea Ghez on stellar dynamics in the Galactic center (GC). I am measuring the orbits of individual stars in the dense environment of the GC, which requires high angular resolution imaging obtained with the Laser Guide Star Adaptive Optics (LGS-AO) system at Keck Observatory. I use high-precision astrometry of the young stars in the GC in order to understand how stars can form so close to a supermassive black hole. Read more about this here.
Observing at Keck.
