Welcome!

I'm Shane, a fourth-year astronomy graduate student at UCLA. Before this I was a bright-eyed undergraduate at UC Berkeley, where I double majored in Physics and Astrophysics, and before that I grew up in the capitol city of California, Sacramento. California has been great to me, and I couldn't be happier to be at UCLA!

I'm currently working on computer simulations of exoplanets to investigate the source of heavy elements in white-dwarf atmospheres. When I'm not doing that I'm raising interest in astronomy through outreach, exploring all the great things Los Angeles has to offer, and spending time with the most fun astronomy grads I've ever met.
