I am from the the San Francisco Bay Area and grew up in Pleasanton, CA. I received my B.A. in Astrophysics from UC Berkeley in 2009 and my M.S. in Astronomy from UCLA in 2011.

At UC Berkeley I also earned a minor in music; music continues to be one of my greatest passions. I enjoy playing clarinet and piano, singing, composing, and teaching private lessons, and I am currently a member of the Angeles Chorale.

In my free time I like to paint, sketch, knit and crochet, enjoy the outdoors, and cook. :-)
