Our second outreach event of the year was visiting the Palms-Rancho Park Library for an afterschool program, where we taught about rockets and comets. This time we had a nice small group, so we decide to take a different approach: Every table got to make their own rocket! After going over the basics of rocketry and turning our students into budding aeronautical engineers, the tables worked together to construct their awesome rocket. Then we went outside, and launched all of them! We all had a blast, and this time, it was rocket science. Thanks Palms-Rancho Park Library, we hope to see you soon!
