This spring Astronomy Live! was invited to participate in STAR Eco Station's twelfth annual Children's Earth Day event in Culver City, which took place on April 22, 2012. While we were there we showed visitors how to make a comet, and brought our telescopes to let them look at the Sun. Unfortunately, the weather decided to be pretty uncooperative! Despite the gloomy weather and lack of Sun for our telescopes, lots of children and parents were excited to learn about comets and the rest of the universe. It was a great event, with live music, food, and tons of hands-on activities from lots of different groups!
