Thanks to grants from the UCLA Campus Programs Committee and the Graduate Student Association Sustainable Resource center, we had over 85 students visit from Anatola Elementary School in Van Nuys. Along with workshops on comets, galaxies, and the Sun, all the students got to see a planetarium show. They also completed worksheets and asked a lot of great astronomy questions! After lunch we took all the students on a short tour of campus, including the four original buildings on campus and Bruin Plaza. By the end of the day it looked like we had a quite a few future Bruins in the group!
