Research Interests:

White Dwarf Planetary Systems

Elemental compositions of extrasolar planetesimals

Formation and evolution of rocky planets and exoplanets

High-resolution spectroscopy and imaging

What are the bulk elemental constituents of rocky exoplanets? Is the composition of Earth unusual? What evidence do we have of processes important for life, such as core-mantle-crust differentiation and the presence of water in extrasolar systems?

Our approach to these questions involves a unique and powerful cosmic laboratory: Polluted White Dwarfs.  Read more at the Research tab above.
