Q: What is the (maximum) size limit on e-mail ``messages?''
This is an adjustable local setting, which stands at 10 MB (as of 2000), similar to the limit for Bruin OnLine e-mail accounts. It is likely to be increased at some point in the future.
If you want to exchange a file larger than this limit, you should split it up; or, if not possible, use anonymous FTP.
This measure is meant to avoid clogging our mail server and defuse mail bombing attempts. Also, remote mail servers with a similar restriction--which is common--will not accept messages they deem too large and will bounce them back to us instead...
