As bright lighthouses observable well into the epoch of deceleration and into the epoch of reionization, capitalizing on the utility of GRBs as unique cosmological probes remains a promising activity. I review what strides have already been made, particularly with IGM and ISM studies using GRB afterglows, and remark on future directions (with TMT, EXIST and other facilities) using the very bright GRB 080319b as the point of departure.
